David Hancock – Managing Director
David's experience with native plant propagation and regeneration activities has been actively developed since 2000, with full-time involvement commencing in mid-2001, and is now recognised to be at a high level, more so in respect of difficult to propagate species. His bushland knowledge has focused on the Perth plain and has had substantial involvement with the Perth basin Banksia Woodland. He is also competent with all other vegetation complexes endemic from Mandurah to Yanchep and the Perth coast to the hills. David is acknowledged as a weed control assessment and treatment expert and is a member of the Australian Institute of Bush Regenerators. Prior to this, David has had a long involvement in volunteer conservation and bushland regeneration activities, particularly within the City of Joondalup and the City of Wanneroo, where his efforts have been recognised with awards for volunteer conservation by the DEC and City of Joondalup in 2003 and City of Wanneroo in 2005.
Luke Summers – Operations Director
B. Business. Chemcert Chemical Accreditation. Pest Management Technician Licence (1080)
Luke has practical hands on experience with on-ground environmental management. He is actively involved with all projects at the management level and is the point of contact for customers. He is able to consult with customers and advise on best management strategies for all type of natural environments. His experience includes project design and management, weed control, erosion control, revegetation and feral animal control.
Sue Brand – Environmental Consultant
B.Sc, PGDIP EIA, MSc (Env. Sc) MEIA, Assoc. Environmental Auditor, ECA
Sue recently joined NAC from SMEC Australia. She is an Environmental Scientist with more than 10 years experience in both consulting and academia, providing a broad knowledge and skill base that can be applied to a range of projects. Her experience includes undertaking a variety of environmental investigations and assessments for a range of clients including government, land development, and the resource sector to assist with statutory approvals processes. She is also an experienced project manager.
Jacquie Milner – Botanist/Environmental Scientist
BEnv.Sc, ECA (Associate)
Jacquie has been the lead consultant on flora and vegetation surveys for the company for over 6 years. She is able to provide botanical knowledge and expertise to create revegetation species lists as well as monitoring and reporting programs for various projects. She has been involved in native species recognition for 15 years and has considerable experience in native seed collection.
Kimberly Harmsworth – Environmental Consultant
B.Env.Sc, GradCert (Botany), ECA (Associate)
Kimberly has practical hands on field experience having worked on various revegetation projects in the Perth Metro Region. She is experienced with vegetation offset proposals, implementation and management. She has worked closely with Jacquie Milner in the past on flora and vegetation surveys throughout Perth. She is familiar with all aspects of revegetation planning and implementation. Kimberly recently completed post-graduate studies in Botany at UWA and has a keen interest in the West Australian flora.
Clarissa Sanford – Graduate Environmental Consultant
B.Sc (Biological Science & Conservation Biology), ECA (Associate)
Clarissa has recently graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biological Sciences and Conservation Biology. Experience gained during her studies included undertaking flora and fauna surveys and assessments. These included surveys of Jurien coastal areas and the Gnangara Jarrah/Banksia/Tuart woodland areas. Clarissa has also undertaken fauna surveys including bird, reptiles and fauna over the Gnangara Mound and in Yanchep National Park.
David Eccleston | Operations Supervisor

Dave is responsible for managing the Operations Team and ensuring that all projects are completed to a high standard. He has been involved with a range of projects at NAMS including coastal foreshore restoration works at Pork Kennedy, Burns Beach, Penguin Island and Rottnest Island. He is able to provide advice on best practice restoration methods for different environments with unique characteristics. He is a licensed herbicide and pesticide technician with over three years on-ground experience.
James Gummer | Operations Supervisor
B.Sc (Env. Mngmt and Aquatic systems) Chemcert Chemical Accreditation, Pest Management Technician Licence (1080)
James is also responsible for managing the Operations Team. He has been involved with most projects including river foreshore restoration works at Pickering Park, large scale Banksia woodland revegetation including the management of Offset Sites, specialist weed control programs for the City of Stirling and coastal rehabilitation at Penguin Island. James is a licensed snake handler.
